FAQs

  • How are patients referred to WPO?
Prosthetic and Orthotic services are by medical referral/prescription. WPO's staff works with physicians, nurses, therapists and other medical team members in delineating what will best benefit the patient. Please contact WPO with any questions you may have concerning referrals in general, or to discuss a specific patient.
  • Does WPO charge a fee for consultation?
By definition P&O is a service and product rather than a visit-based business. As such, we are pleased to discuss potential solutions with you given your patient's unique situation. We consider this part of our commitment to the educational process, and provide this service at no charge. Our clinicians are dedicated to providing solutions to help patients' function, not just products. We welcome the opportunity to discuss options with you.
  • How does WPO support emergency situations?
To ensure access to our services WPO maintains a 24/7 call schedule. This is used primarily for hospital patients and emergencies. But each call for service is evaluated by a practitioner and responded to accordingly should you need to contact WPO after hours. Simply call the office where you received care. You will talk with a real person who will record your request and promptly forward it to a clinician who will professionally evaluate the nature and urgency of your request.
  • What warranty does WPO provide for appliances?
All custom fabricated appliances are warranted for materials and workmanship for 90 days after delivery. One of the longest warranties in our industry.
