Company

Wisconsin Prosthetics and Orthotics (WPO) was originally created as Wisconsin Orthopedic Appliance Co., in Milwaukee in 1951 by Joe Pungarcher, himself an amputee. After one year he moved his business to Green Bay where it remains today. In 1975 a longtime employee, Raymond Gustin, C.P., also an amputee, purchased the company along with his partner Jack Weldon C.P. Together they successfully ran the practice as a single location. In 1988, after 40 years for practice, Ray and Jack decided to retire. From this point forward the business grew outside to its current locations including a mobile service to outlying areas. Over the last few years WPO proudly became part of a family of clinics spanning across the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota. With our sister clinics, Actra Orthotics and Prosthetics, we are able to provide patients with the utmost of care throughout all of their lifetime needs in turn helping patients live life better.

Since our patients' needs are constantly changing, we make it our mission to be their partner in care and provide for their lifetime needs. We provide solutions in our outpatient offices, area hospitals and clinics, nursing homes and, in special situations, the patient's home.
